A Highly Specific Probe for Sensing Hydrogen Sulfide in Live Cells Based on Copper-Initiated Fluorogen with Aggregation-Induced Emission Characteristics
Here we reported the first fluorescent probe with aggregation-induced emission characteristics, namely AIE-S, for the detection of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in live cells. The detection system is selective for complicated biological application and the response is fast enough to complete within seconds. Moreover, the probe exhibits the unique advantage of being immune to aggregation-caused quenchi...
متن کاملTargeted and Imaging-guided In Vivo Photodynamic Therapy of Tumors Using Dual-functional, Aggregation-induced Emission Nanoparticles
Imaging-guided photodynamic therapy (PDT) has been regarded as a promising strategy for precise cancer treatment. Because of their excellent modifiability and drug loading capacity, nanoparticles have played an important role in PDT. However, when traditional photosensitizers are made into nanoparticles, both their fluorescence and reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation efficiency are decreas...
متن کاملAn amine/imine functionalized microporous MOF as a new fluorescent probe exhibiting selective sensing of Fe3+ and Al3+ over mixed metal ions
Nowadays metal-organic frameworks with multiple luminescent centers are very fascinating as multifunctional luminescent material because of their luminescence properties, which could be systematically tuned by deliberate use of organic ligands and metal ions. In this research, we explored a microporous mixed-ligand MOF for highly selective and sensitive detection of metal ions. A two-fold inter...
متن کاملImage-guided combination chemotherapy and photodynamic therapy using a mitochondria-targeted molecular probe with aggregation-induced emission characteristics† †Electronic supplementary information (ESI) available. See DOI: 10.1039/c5sc00826c Click here for additional data file.
Subcellular targeted cancer therapy and in situ monitoring of therapeutic effect are highly desirable for clinical applications. Herein, we report a series of probes by conjugating zero (TPECM-2Br), one (TPECM-1TPP) and two (TPECM-2TPP) triphenylphosphine (TPP) ligands to a fluorogen with aggregation-induced emission (AIE) characteristics. The probes are almost non-emissive as molecularly disso...
متن کاملMitochondrial Imaging with Combined Fluorescence and Stimulated Raman Scattering Microscopy Using a Probe of the Aggregation-Induced Emission Characteristic.
In vivo quantitative measurement of biodistribution plays a critical role in the drug/probe development and diagnosis/treatment process monitoring. In this work, we report a probe, named AIE-SRS-Mito, for imaging mitochondria in live cells via fluorescence (FL) and stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) imaging. The probe features an aggregation-induced emission (AIE) characteristic and possesses an...
